Dublin Landings Link Bridge

DLLB project is a pedestrian link bridge between the Central Bank of Ireland and the 5th office building Dublin Landings. FEDCo team was chosen for the full-bridge design consisting main steel structure and the whole envelope. The architect’s intent is to have a fully glazed and flat surface bridge. This was very challenging to be achieved in terms of the movements that are present between the buildings and the bridge. The aesthetic vision for internal finish of the portals make this bridge structure to goo out of standard bridge shapes. The main steel become much wider at the both ends to be concealed by the interior slanted glazing, keeping the architect’s vision of the portals.
